I'm in Idaho - if I were to join a regional letterbox group, would it be the
PNW one, or the Rocky Mountain one?

There is no limit to the number of local yahoos you can comingle
with. Join both! You can check the MEMBERS listing to see which
states some folks are associated with and decide which one will have
most of your attention. I even join groups if I plan to travel in an
area.

Judy B is right. If you join both you will hear about new letterboxes
and gatherings on both sides.
I know that we have some avid Idaho letterboxers at RMLetterboxing.
And there isn't a ton of posts, so you won't be too swamped.

I understand your position completely. I'm in Western NY, which means
I'm too far East for the Great Lakes group, too far West for the New
England group and too far South for the Ontario group! :D

Dear Dagonell,
This is a no-brainer. Obviously you need to join the Texas Letterboxers

There is a group on Yahoo, LbCNY, but it's really
small at the moment.
Just mentioning it in passing.

I think they mean LbNE, which is Letterboxing NorthEast, not Letterboxing
New England -- unless there's some new group that hasn't been announced on
this group....

I think many of us in the northeast and New England have *been* on
the Letterboxing North East group. To quote the home page of that
group, "Letterboxing Northeast is for general chit chat and
discussion or to mention finds or attempted finds, and anything
related to letterboxing in the northeastern states."
There is also a Yahoo group just for boxious CT.
If there is a group just for New England, please post the link.
Where have you been? :-)

Ah hahahahaha
Ryan! I'm so perplexed and vexed by this statement!! Aren't you the
list originator modification extraordinaire of this list?
Translation: Ryan Carpenter um...well, started the LBNE list and we
should all bow down and kiss his feet due to the fact that we owe him
a considerable debt of gratitude.
Thanks Ryan for your ever-so-clever-ideas and contributions to this
hobby. The LBNE list has been a welcome breath of fresh air from this
stagnant environment.

Yeh, Ryan, wake up! Of all things, I'm currently the moderator for
Central NY's group (LbCNY) almost 3,000 miles away. Look, it gives me
the opportunity to leave wordy posting promoting letterboxing... and
be delinquent on things like reviewing Princess Lea's Vertigo #2
letterbox clues.
(I'm originally from Utica, NY, and my family lives there.)

mmm and the fact that I was the second or third member to sign onto that list
before it was even debuted to this list. We were trying to keep things on the down
lo, but since some folks always want every single thing in letterboxing avaiable the
wide world web, well - it's too late.
